Based in Canberra, Scinergy provides residential energy efficiency advice at the design stage and performance testing services post construction, for both new building work and extensions to existing homes. We also conduct pre- and post-retrofit testing to evaluate the effectiveness of energy efficiency programs and deliver presentations and training about how to get the biggest bang for buck when retrofitting a house. Scinergy staff work with a wide variety of builders, architects and designers as well as private clients, government agencies and community groups. Scinergy is the scientific arm of the award-winning, integrative design-build-test company, Jigsaw Housing.

More about the Scinergy Team
Director, Jenny Edwards, brings a unique and complementary set of skills to the energy efficiency sector. Her expertise and interest in science, education and building - plus international training in air leakage testing of buildings - ensures that she can provide a comprehensive energy efficiency consultancy service.
In 2008, Jenny was a founding Director of Australia's first company specialising in the building envelope diagnostic techniques of thermal imaging and air leakage testing. After two years -- collecting data, lobbying government and industry and stimulating the beginnings of a building envelope testing industry -- the business was ready to evolve. Jenny decided to provide an expanded but more personalised service, with a greater focus on the design stage, and began Scinergy early in 2010.
In 2012, Jenny joined forces with architect - Andrew Verri - and builder - Tom Henderson - of Jigsaw Housing to offer efficiency-focused clients a unique and integrated design and construction service.
During his studies, Andrew Pickard specialised in sustainable buildings and renewable energy technologies. His experience managing successful projects ranges from working on large mine expansions to delivering quality home solar PV installations. Andrew is passionate about sustainable design and building, as well as finding affordable solutions to reducing energy bills. He has ‘hands on’ experience retrofitting homes as part of the ACT Government Energy Outreach Program. Since buying his own Canberra home, Andrew has put his skills in air-sealing and recycling of building materials to the test with great results. He is currently working towards an ACT Building Assessor (Class A - Energy Efficiency) license. Read more about Andrew at AJP Engineering.
Lish Fejer has had an interest in energy efficiency ever since she realised it actually worked. As a student, looking to reduce her energy bills and still live comfortably, she started to do a few things that were considered pretty radical back then. She shaded windows, insulated hot water pipes, put on a jumper and realised that there might actually be something in this. This has since developed into a raving obsession. Check out Lish's terrific website Green It Yourself.
